This is first episode of the Gnomes in the Yard Podast. Within it you'll hear conversation about Don Hamm and Wayne' Corner's aspirations for the new podcast and how we plan to go about putting it together.
You also get some songs from Don and Wayne. As this is the first podcast, we thought we'd do our music. However, in the future the music will be there to feature our guests.
Yes, each episode will feature a musical guest(s). Someone from the broader community of musicians and artists near or connected to High River,AB.
That said, this first episode features Ozzie Owlis, a young man who Don encountered last summer when neice Mia brought him to the cabin to stay with Don and Carol for a few days.
Ozzie is from England and has come to Canada with ambitions of building a Cobb house and creating a music studio within it. He currently lives in Toronto. Ozzie is an accomplished musician, songwriter and performer. Below are a few links to some of his work.
When asked if he'd like to be on the podcast, he accepted and decided he'd create a song for the occassion. He retired to the bunkhouse and by next morning when the interview was recorded had the song that he plays on the podcast. The full text of the lyrics are below:

Oh what a likeness,
Seen from afar,
Hand me the lightning,
Alone in the dark,
Wind from the lake,
Is cold and strong,
Hold my face to it,
Feel I belong,
But I, don’t need no remedy,
I found it,
Your eyes shimmer softly,
In moonlit repose,
Where will they lead me,
God only knows,
But i’ve the strength to go ...
Yes i’ve the strength to go,
But I don’t need no remedy,
I found it,
No I, don’t need no remedy,
I found it right here
Right here.
